    Very good

Stayed in superior sea view room which was defiantly worth the extra.

Card machine not working, asked to pay cash which wasn't a problem as we only stayed one night but could for-see problems for anyone staying longer as this seemed to be going on for some time. Would have liked a bit more choice for breakfast in the way of fruit, yogurt etc.

    Good

This hotel only opened in April 2011 so everything new. Rooms very nice and beautifully decorated. Just lacking a few final touches. Excellent location next door to The Imperial and half the price.

    Good

Beds comfortable. Room a little squashed - two double beds and barely space to walk around them. All new. Brilliant location and excellent breakfast. Needs some tweaking and it could be a really lovely hotel - like cut the huge tags off the Ikea cushions in the breakfast room! I would certainly stay again - good value for money.

Somethings not finished - no radiator in shower room just two pipes. Staff - apart from the manager (I think he was as he was everywhere all the time) were disinterested which was a shame as they could have made the place shine. Many couldn't speak any English at all and had to be directed by colleagues. Room cleanliness wasn't great after our first night - think the guy just topped up the tea as we'd made our own beds.

    Good

The location was ideal for our stay, easy to find etc

I recieved a phonecall from the hotel staff to inform me that the room 405 which I was given did not have a sea view, and because of that would only be charged a rate of £89, when we arrived I was charged £110, and did not have a sea view. The room was also situated next to the lift and the wiring and machinery were not covered, and you could hear the lift through out the night which kept one of us up.

    Fabulous

Modern hotel with new fittings and centrally situated.

Poor choice of evening meal. Menu was not suited to everyones taste.

Great location on the promenade, excellent service and rates. Rooms recently finished and are of excellent quality with large lcd tv and great modern ceiling shower - room 202 has a fantastic sea view too. We would definately stay here again - we stayed at a boutique hotel in Llandudno last year and the room at the Iris was of equal quality. Breakfast of very good quality too with freshly cooked food served to you in a buffet style. Highly recommended - we will be going back for sure.

Excellent location on seafront. Refurbished in modern style. Superior room with sea view was spacious, well furnished, with large en-suite.

    Very good

We had a sea view room on the third floor, lovely sized room with king sized comfortable bed, flat screen tv, lovely bathroom, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer. Breakfast was good, would use hotel again. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

I didnt like the lounge area, it has been modernly decorated and I thought it didnt suit the building (just a personal thing I suppose but I didnt think it looked very "inviting") would have liked to have seen a bar area in lounge or reception area.

    Exceptional

My friend and myself had a great time at the Iris. It is lovely and clean, in a perfect position right on the promenade and the staff were without exception, friendly, professional and helpful. Our beautifully designed ground floor twin room had 2 very comfortable double beds and a lovely bathroom with a huge showerhead. There was also a good brand large flatscreen tv. The breakfast was extremely well cooked with a good variety. The dinner was a bargain for 4 courses and very nice indeed. There was a range of ages staying there from us, 2 older and not very able ladies, to young families and singles. The hotel has been recently refurbished. I don't know what it was like before but it is excellent now. I would highly recommend it for a base for the touring of North Wales.

    Superb

I enjoyed the helpfulness of the staff, the cleanliness, and the comfort of my room.

That workmen are still in finishing the re-furbishment although I realise this is essential

Our room overlooked the promenade and beach - amazing view of the sunset and it was really relaxing. Beds were extremely comfortable and the bathroom was amazing - I loved the shower! Breakfast was also excellent.

There is no car parking available for hotel guests - you have to park on the street and it is not easy to get a car park! We ended up parking about half a mile away in the swimming centre car park.

    Exceptional

The quality of food is really excellent and rooms are very comfortable

If anything, the service during evening meals was too quick and did not allow any time between courses or time for a drink before the first course. Would benefit from a proper bar area.

    Superb

The staff were friendly and the room was clean excellent breakfast.

The decor.was too modern for area and building. Conflicting times for breakfast and a bit disorganised and slow if you wanted an early start. parking is on the prom so no private parking. no hairdryer in room but was provided with one from reception. No bar. Keypad difficult to see as it was dark and numbers were not clear. With a few improvements to service this hotel would be fine. I would stay here again.
